Shaundretta Boykins
Manager of Business Development and Entrepreneurship
Shaundretta Boykins is the Manager of Business Development and Entrepreneurship in the Minority Business Development Division at the Ohio Department of Development. Shaundretta is the liaison between the business owners in the State of Ohio and the capital access and technical assistance programs that Ohio has to offer, it’s minority and women owned businesses. She serves, as an educator, in her role, to guide minorities, women and marginalized business owners to the requisite education needed to startup, stand up and scale up their businesses. She also assists them education about certifications and procurement opportunities, to help with development, and expansion.
Shaundretta has more than 25 years of experience in financial services. Twenty of those years were spent in retail banking, working for financial institutions such as Chase, US Bank and Firstmerit. Bank. Three of those years were spent with non-profit, Community Development Financial Institutions, the past two years up to current has been with State government, providing financial assistance to minority and women owned businesses for the purposes of economic development and empowerment.
